Scouting

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Vision

The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training.

In the future Scouting will continue to

• Offer young people responsible fun and adventure;
• Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law;
• Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership;
• Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.

Our Troop

Our Troop is chartered by Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale. Our goal is to instill Christian values and build Christian character through discipleship and practical application of the Word of God.

Proverbs 22:6 exhorts us to "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."

Our Troop verse is 2 Tim 2:21b, "...he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work."

We ground the Scout Oath, Law, Promise and Motto in this one verse. Honor, service, preparedness and character are essential elements of our program.

Boy Scouts is available to boys 11 through 17 years of age. Cub Scouts is available for boys 6 through 10 years of age. Calvary also is the home of Cub Scout Pack 208. If you or your son is interested in Cub Scouts, you can visit their website Calvary Chapel Cub Scout Pack 208
